He Lost the starting job in training camp to former Browns quarterback Derek Anderson, undrafted rookie Max Hall and rookie John Skelton will backup quarterbacks. During the preseason Leinart completed 22 of his 28 passes, but threw for only 175 yards. The team made the announcement on Saturday, shortly before the Cardinals had to reach their 53-man roster limit. Leinart threw for 3,893 yards with 14 touchdowns and 20 interceptions with Arizona. In 17 NFL starts and 29 appearances. QB Rating 70.8. in 2005. In 2004, his junior year at USC, he won the Heisman Trophy.
