Every coach received a full playoff share of $117,000, a payment that's administered by the league. The two coordinators, Todd Haley and Clancy Pendergast, had separate clauses in their contracts for playoff appearances. The share of $117,000 and those clauses offset each other.

In other words, they couldn't collect both. The source said Haley and Pendergast, both now in Kansas City, each received a total of $190,000 in bonuses.

--QB Kurt Warner offered to cut his salary by a $1 million in each season to help the team re-sign Anquan Boldin. That offer, however, is not included in Warner's new contract. Warner said he just wanted the team to know that he was willing to help in management's efforts to retain key players.

--Long snapper Nathan Hodel's recent release came as a surprise. But coaches were apparently unhappy with the accuracy of his snaps, as well as his coverage skills. It didn't help that Hodel, the team's union representative, was viewed as a locker room lawyer by some, according to a source close to the club.

--There is some dispute in the Kurt Warner household about whether the Warner kids are owed a puppy. The kids seem to think that Warner promised them a puppy if the team made it to the Super Bowl. Warner said that came from his wife, Brenda. So far, Warner is holding out against the puppy.
