The Arizona Cardinals are prepping their season ticket holders on how to get their hands on playoff tickets. This happens from time to time around most NFL cities but it has never happened in Arizona.
The Cardinals have never played a playoff game in Arizona. They never even played a playoff game in St. Louis, their home from 1960-1987. The last playoff game the Cardinals hosted was in Chicago’s Comiskey Park in 1947. The Chicago Cardinals beat the Philadelphia Eagles, 28-21, for the NFL Championship.
It is all but certain that Arizona will host its first Cardinals playoff game (Arizona has been the site for a couple Super Bowls). The Cards currently own a four-game lead in the NFC West with seven games remaining and all division winners get to host at least one playoff game.
